Newborn and family photo sessions in the Netherlands by south Limburg photographer Charlotte van Putten
Newborn photo sessions are becoming essential for every new family. If you don't capture these priceless moments in photographs, these treasured memories are lost forever.. Those tiny feet, the delicate finger nails, the soft hair. Newborns grow up so quickly and soon those details are nothing more than a memory. However, a photograph immortalises those precious details forever.

Timeless, unique photo session tailored to you and your family in the comfort of your own home.
Whether you would like a traditional studio style photo session or you prefer a more candid, documentary style, or perhaps (and I highly recommend) a mix of the two. I bring the equipment to you. All you have to do is relax, and be yourselves! I will do the rest. I come with portable lighting, various props, an open mind and a terrible sense of humour! If you're lucky, I'll even bring my camera too (see what I mean?!).
I don't like to restrict a photo session to a mere one hour or two hours, especially not with babies and children. Therefore my fees are a flat rate regardless on whether it takes one hour or 4 hours. Baby will determine how long it takes! I also don't charge extra for siblings or grandparents to included in the photo session. This is all about capturing your family. If baby is hungry, or not settling, we stop, and take a little break until s/he is calm again. There's no rush. It's also nice if we simply sit and chat over a coffee when I first arrive. That might sound strange to you, but it helps everyone relax a little. Of course, that is entirely up to you as well. We will go at your pace!
Oh, and pets can also be included if you wish. I love animals, so as long as you don't have a tarantula that you think I'm going to get up close and personal with, then we're on the same page. Your pets are a part of your family too!
Safe
No dangerous poses. No photo is ever worth that! I will always ensure baby's head and neck are supported at all times and that she is not forced into uncomfortable poses. If baby is awake or could roll or wriggle into an unsafe position, I might ask you to remain close by as a precaution. I never, never never suspend baby on a swing or anything that is likely for baby to topple over. I frequently stand directly over baby, and as such i always ensure my camera is secured around my neck and that any other equipment is also safely out of harms way so that nothing can fall or be dropped onto baby.
If I am unwell, I will cancel reschedule your photo session, as it simply is not worth risking passing any illnesses on to a newborn who has not yet developped their immune system. I ask you to also reschedule if unwell, so that I cannot inadvertently catch something and pass on to other clients. Your baby's, indeed your entire family's, safety is of utmost importance to me, and I take every step to ensure I work as safely as possible.

Inclusive
I practice inclusive newborn and family photography, welcoming and respecting people of all ages, races, ethnicities, origins, sexualities, gender identities, abilities and anything else that makes you the awesome person/people that you are. We are all unique. In front of my camera, you are totally free to be exactly you.

Maternity
Celebrate your pregnancy journey with unique and beautiful photos to treasure long after your baby has arrived and your bump has long since gone. Pregnancy seems to go on forever but in fact it is so short and you will come to miss that bump, along with the excitement and anticipation of your new soon to be family. Because you are beautiful.

Family Portraits
I love it when I capture that connection and special family bond. Whether that be in the forrest, a local park or in the relaxed settings of your own home, this is all about creating special family memories that you will treasure forever and encapsulating your family's story.

Hi, I'm Charlotte
Welcome to my photography portfolio! Based in Brunssum, Netherlands. Drawing on many years of experience doing landscapes and wildlife, I extended my passion to include newborns and families where I enjoy telling heartfelt stories through my lens. As a former nanny, a musician and sometimes an artist, I bring a unique perspective to my work, capturing the beauty of family connections.
